Hi, my name is Nikki Mahajan, and I’m excited to be teaching the Bollywood dance class! I moved to Cumming, GA three years ago with my husband and two children. I began learning Indian classical Kathak dance at age 18 at Aparna’s Dance Academy and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Kathak in 2009. Over the years, I have continued my training through workshops and performances, appearing at venues such as the Rialto Center, Cobb Energy Center, Indian Idol Atlanta, and Carnegie Hall (2023). After a brief break following motherhood, I returned to dance, earning an additional Kathak degree affiliated with BVDU in India and began teaching part-time. While my foundation is in classical Kathak, I have a strong passion for Bollywood dance because of its blend of styles, energy, emotion, and joy. My goal is to create a fun, welcoming environment where students can build confidence and express themselves through dance.
